No, children under 5 travel free of charge. However, free admission is limited to two children per group. For childminders, day care clubs and children’s activity centres, a discounted rate may be available. No, pets travel free of charge. Only small animals (that can be carried in a basket or bag) are allowed on board.
Bikes are allowed on board for the Orne Estuary crossing between Ouistreham and Merville-Franceville-Plage, in both directions. If needed, you can also lock your bike near the boarding points.
Despite the precautions taken during boarding and transport, bicycles remain exposed to certain risks related to handling and the natural movements of the vessel.
Passengers are advised to check the condition of their bicycles before boarding and to report any damage immediately. Vedettes Caennaises cannot be held liable for damage resulting from circumstances beyond its control or the inherent nature of maritime transport, unless proven negligence on its part.
Please note that bikes are left at your own risk, so make sure to bring a lock.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time to ensure smooth boarding and a timely departure.

If there is a timetable change or cancellation, we will email you directly – provided you booked online or by phone. We also post updates on our social media channels. To make sure that you do not miss anything important, please give us your contact details when you book.
- If a trip is cancelled due to weather conditions, you will be fully refunded or can choose to reschedule your booking.
- If you purchased the “Cancellation” option at the time of booking, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of the reason or date of cancellation.
- Outside of these cases, tickets are non-refundable but can be rescheduled once, up to 48 hours before departure.
- After this deadline, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

Our ‘Presqu’île’ tour is the only one with a boat equipped for passengers with reduced mobility, and our crew is on hand to help you aboard. Please contact us in advance (+33 07 67 66 67 89) so we can inform you of the accessibility conditions depending on the boarding point and vessel, and ensure the best possible experience. Please note that the onboard toilets are not accessible for passengers with reduced mobility.
No, bulky luggage is not allowed on board.

Yes, you are welcome to bring a pushchair on board.
For return tickets, we advise our customers to plan their return in advance and not to wait for the last available departure, as it may be fully booked during peak periods.
DURING THE TRIP
- Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
- Have your ticket ready, either printed or on your phone.
- If requested, have a valid ID for each passenger.
Passengers are welcome to bring snacks on board. please note that outside food and drink cannot be brought aboard the “Bateau’apéro” trip, as we will be serving our own aperitif platters.
Please dress for the conditions on the water. On sunny days, we recommend sunglasses, a hat or cap and sunscreen; when it’s cooler or overcast, bring a windbreaker, parka or other type of warm jacket.
No. For the comfort and safety of all passengers, smoking is strictly prohibited on board. This also applies to e-cigarettes.

If a trip is cancelled by the operator, you can choose to reschedule to a later date or, if that is not possible, receive a full refund. In the event of a delay caused by the operator, no compensation or reimbursement is provided.
